Welcome to my website.  My name is Antony.  For the last 15 years I have worked as a Computer Science and Media teacher in a Secondary School.  As part of a mindfulness day, I had the opportunity to try knitting.  What can I say..  I fell in love with it.  Now, being a 30 odd year old male, I am ashamed to say, It was something I kept quiet about.  I felt I would be ridiculed If I was honest about my new passion.  Even today, this can be the case but more about that later...

As I was enjoying knitting, my wife very kindly bought me a three week sewing course.  I attended the sessions and again, I absolutely loved it. Before long, I had my own machine  and was sewing away, learning as much as possible.  At this point school was not going well, the stress levels were high and I had to admit I was not coping.  After being on leave for 4 months I decided to come away from teaching.  It didnt take me long to know exactly what I wanted to do.  I worked hard learning the skill as much as possible.  I learnt about the industry and was really lucky to come across the likes of John Scott and was able to get advice from the experts.  Through Sewing Street, I came across Lucy Picksley from Sew Pretty - Sew Mindful.  This was a game changer.  I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Lucy and learnt so much, particularly in bag making and quilting.  I still attend Lucy's workshops and retreats.

This is where I am today.  I love what I do and have started to make bags and quilts.  I am also in the process of designing patterns for knitting and for quilting.  Please keep a look out for my designs in the next few months.
